How to Review Your Degree Audit in the New myBC Overview

Your Degree Audit is your official academic progress report. It shows exactly where you stand with your degree, including completed courses, courses in progress, and requirements you still need to finish. Reviewing your degree audit before registration helps ensure you choose the right classes and stay on track to graduate.

Step-by-Step Guide: How to Review Your Degree Audit

Step 1: Login to myBC

• Log in to the new myBC.
• From the new myBC Dashboard, click on the Courses & Progress section.

Step 2: Open the Degree Progress Card

• Find the Degree Progress card.

• The Degree Audit will load as a sperate page.

Step 3: Review Your Degree Audit Overview

• The Degree Audit opens as your academic progress report.
• At the top of the page, you’ll see:
  • Your GPA
  • Credits earned at Broward College
  • Any transfer credits applied
  • Your overall progress toward degree completion

Step 4: Understand the Requirements Breakdown

• Scroll down to view your degree requirements broken out by category.
• Each section shows which requirements are complete and which remain.

Step 5: Interpret the Symbols

• ✔ Checkmark: Requirement is completed
• ◐ Half circle: Course is currently in progress
• No symbol: Requirement has not been met yet
• Use the legend at the bottom of the page if you need help understanding the symbols.

Step 6: Identify Courses You Still Need

• Look for requirements without a checkmark.
• Write down the course codes for any classes you still need to take. You’ll use these course codes when registering for classes.

Step 7: Review Substitutions and Special Notes

• Some requirements may show substitutions or special notes.
• These edits were approved by your advisor and are already cleared.
• No further action is needed unless your advisor instructs you otherwise.

Helpful Tips

• Completed courses are checked off; unchecked courses are what you still need to complete.
• Make it a habit to review your Degree Audit before every registration period as it’s the easiest way to confirm you’re taking the right classes and progressing toward graduation.
