How to find a Saved Draft of a Discussion Thread in D2L?

  • Go to the class discussions page and forum.
  • On the thread page, click the dropdown menu next to “Filter by”
  • Select “Drafts” to view your saved drafts.

How to Print Grades in D2L
In your D2L course, click Grades, then select Print at the top of the page.


Why Does My Grade Say “Dropped”?
Your instructor either dropped the highest/lowest grade in a category or excluded the assignment from the final grade. Contact your instructor for details.


How to Email an Instructor in D2L

  • Roster Tool:
    1. Go to Tools > Roster on the Course Navbar.
    2. Select recipients, click the Email icon, compose your message, and click Send.
  • Email Tool:
    1. Go to Communication > Email or click the envelope icon in the minibar.
    2. Compose your message, select recipients from the Address Book, and click Send.

What to do if D2L login issues happen?

  • If unable to access D2L on a specific device, recommend browser maintenance.
  • Escalate unresolved issues using the D2L Escalation Template for students or faculty/staff.

What to do if issues come up with course content or eBooks?
Refer students to their instructor or escalate if necessary. Instructors should contact Instructional Technologists for unresolved course access issues via the Help icon in D2L.

For technical help, use these forms:

For loaner laptops

  • Request a Loaner Laptop
  • Student Loaner Laptop Login (each laptop has a sticker with this information)

Username is student (all lower case)

How to Attach a File in D2L

  • In the Attachments area, click Browse to upload a file (max 1GB).
  • Ensure the file name isn’t too long or contains special characters.
  • For accepted file types, check D2L’s system requirements.
