FAQs

Re-Admission FAQs

Q. I am or was formally dually enrolled as a high school student, but now want to enroll as a traditional student. What do I need to do?

A. If you are a FORMER HIGH SCHOOL DUAL ENROLLMENT student wanting to move to a regular enrollment, you will need to complete the new student admissions application. From here, you will be presented with the admission steps.

For more information, visit our website: www.broward.edu/admissions/apply.

Q. How long can I stop taking courses before I need to reapply?

A. Students who last attended Broward College within 1 year (3 terms) do not need to reapply. Students who had to withdraw due to a family emergency will follow the same admission criteria. These students should either register for classes or make an appointment to speak to an advisor at myBC (Click on BC Navigate on the myBC site to make an advising appointment).

After 1 year (3 terms) of non-attendance to Broward College, students need to reapply as a returning student online to reactivate their enrollment status. They will not be required to pay the application fee.

Non-degree seeking students:

  • All application types e.g., credit, non-credit, require students to reapply after one year or 3 terms of inactivity. They will need to complete a new application if they are returning as a non-credit student. Essentially, the same policies as credit-seeking students apply in these cases.
