Q. Are any fees non-refundable?
A. 
When a student is approved for a petition for refund, the refund is only applied to the tuition portion of the course; all other fees are non-refundable.

Q. How do I check my account balance?
A. 
To check your current account balance and/or view your bill:Log into student portal myBC

  • Upon logging in, you will see My Financial Summary on the homepage, which includes your balance and more.

You can also click on the My Financials tab and click on Payment.
In the Payment tab, select the Term, which includes your balance and more.


Q. What are the payment deadlines?

Tuition payment due dates are indicated on your schedule and the fee summary links are available through myBC. Due dates for each class can vary if you are enrolled in multiple sessions within the term.Tuition dates and deadlines (such as payment deadline and refund dates), can also be found below:

If you are paying in person, the payment must be made before 4:00 pm.

If you are paying online, the payment must be made by 11:59 pm on the due date.

Q. Do you offer tuition waivers?
A. Florida Classroom Teacher Tuition Fee Waiver

There is an on-going tuition waiver for classroom teachers. Florida College System institutions and state universities may waive up to six credit hours per term for teachers employed full time by a school district, including public charter school teachers. Qualified students may only enroll in undergraduate courses in mathematics, science, or special education. Eligibility for the waiver is on a space-available basis.

The Florida Classroom Teacher Tuition Fee Waiver Form is accessible via your myBC. You can also visit our forms website (www.broward.edu/studentforms) and click on the form under the Admissions & Registration tab; you will be routed to myBC. Once complete, please submit to the Registrar’s Office for processing.

Florida State Employee Tuition Fee Waiver

This form is for Florida state employees seeking a tuition fee waiver for courses taken at Broward College. Students seeking this waiver must complete a Broward College application for admission and complete all admission requirements. Registration begins for Florida state employees on the date listed on the registration dates calendar.

The Florida State Employee Tuition Fee Waiver Form is accessible via your myBC. You can also visit our forms website (www.broward.edu/studentforms) and click on the form under the Admissions & Registration tab; you will be routed to myBC. Once complete, please submit to the Registrar’s Office for processing.

Homeless Exemption Certification

The Homeless Exemption Certification is a waiver of tuition and fees payment for homeless students. Those providing documentation from a community agency must be on letterhead, signed by an agency official and dated nor more than 30 days prior to your payment due date. Those providing documentation under the H.E.A.R.T. program/McKinney Vento Act. Applicants must provide documentation within the year of receipt and may be used for 1 semester.

Foster Care Tuition Exemption Form / Department of Children and Families Tuition Exemption Form

This form is a provided by the Department of Children and Families (DCF) and allow students to receive a tuition exemption. Students will need to submit the form via email to correct Admissions department by campus. For example, if a student attends South Campus, they would need to email the form to south-admissions@broward.edu.
