What are the common Placement Tests students can opt for?

  • SAT, ACT, PERT, and Accuplacer scores are valid for 2 years. (Retest fee: $30 – additional fees for online testing).
  • Broward College does not have a set minimum for ACT / SAT test scores. Student scores help to determine class placement.
    • To determine if you are exempt or non-exempt from placement testing, visit Broward Placement testing at https://www.broward.edu/admissions/testing/common-placement-testing-table.html#tabs-exne-place
  • PERT/LOEP Testing is untimed (approx. 3 hours).
    • Retests: 24 hours after the first attempt, 30 days for subsequent attempts.
    • LOEP allows one retest within 12 months ($15 fee).
    • No calculators allowed (some math questions have built-in calculators).
